I would try to expand your budget to a 2070, 2080, or 3060 laptop right now. At a bare minimum a 1660 TI or 2060.

I use a Dell G7 RTX 2070 Max-Q, 16 GB RAM. Runs TGC 2019 in 4k well. I have run the range on TGC 2019 and FSX 2020 simultaneously with my GC2 to compare results. Runs hot, battery life not great, but has been very stable.
