Frame protection and set up advice needed

I completed my frame and impact screen. It's not fully installed because I'm waiting on my backstop netting. However I have a foot gap from the bottom of the screen and the floor. I plan to hang curtains for side protection but any ideas on what to do with the bottom? Should I hang the screen lower or could I tie my planned carpet turf up into the frame, so it makes a slope? Is that a cement lip just under it? If so you’re definitely going to need a ramp in front of that, people will hit worm burners indoors. I would lower the screen and then trim out the top.

Thanks! Yes, the garage frame is built off a cement lip around all sides. I love the idea for flooding, which can happen where i am, but not for anything else. I agree and I will plan to lower the screen down so the bottom of the screen is just at the floor, and then build some type of ramp/buffer in front of it as well.

Yes lower the screen! That lip is going to be a huge problem. Your screen is too close to it. You should have at least a foot between the screen and wall (or lip in you case - also depending on how tight you want the screen). I would also consider covering the concrete lip with some gym pads or other such material to deaden the bounce back issues. Be aware though, a ramp may create its own hazards to the ceiling, walls or golfer. If someone hits a bad thin it will hit the ramp and carrom up and off the screen and bounce back and up. If you have a projector too close or a system like a Uneekor that may be a problem. If it were me, I would build the floor up with gym mats first, install landing pad (turf), lower the screen and perhaps install some bottom netting (in lieu of a ramp). The bottom netting will prevent the bounce issues off the lip and prevent any issues using a ramp. You might also consider using Velcro strips to attach the screen to the gym pads I recommend.

Thank you, this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to lower the screen all the way to the bottom, so it would take a very low shot to get underneath. I'm then going to pad the lip behind, so if a ball does get back there it just gets stuck. I'm worried about the ramp idea as well because if you hit a thin shot hard enough it could go straight into my ceiling!

That would depend on angle. A gradual angle would not create that type of change in direction, but get added benefit of returning balls falling from screen to golfer.
