New Uneekor Build Looking for all kinds of advice

    Hello all,
I have been using a GC2 on a 14' wide screen for several years and I am just about to pull the trigger on a major upgrade. Enclosure, putting surface, Uneekor Eye with extra cameras and touch screen interface. This will be in my garage which has 10' edge ceiling with 12' pop up in the center. I plan to go with a pro enclosure from Carl's place 18' x 10' x 10'. First question, I want to center mount and hit from center of enclosure. My son is 6-2 and uses sim more than me. Will this be wide enough for him to comfortably swing a driver. We have mocked it up and it seems like it will, just looking for some experienced input from tall guys.. I have room in my garage to go with a 20' wide enclosure but would prefer the 18' if that is sufficient. the garage is double car depth and wide so I will have plenty of room behind for bags, chairs, etc.. I would really like some input on the projector. I can control the lighting in the garage buy would prefer to keep it well lit. So high lumens is a priority. I just don't know enough about modern projectors to make a qualified decision. I am researching but would gladly take any input. 4K or is 1080 good enough? Laser? Overall budget is <=25K. This will need to cover it all though. Matts, Computer, Projector, Sim. I am sold on the Uneekor Eye but everything else is up for debate. Would love to learn from others experience. Thanks for any and all input!

Those dimensions are wonky. 16x10 is much better as it is a native size for a projector. 16’ is a good width for a space and have both lefty and righty play. Making the screen wider won’t help any because the screen won’t get any taller.

Thanks for your reply. I was wanting the 18 x 10 because I felt that was pretty close to full screen image based on the screen calculator I was looking at and pretty much the minimum width that permits my son to swing his driver on a practice swing comfortably. With an 18 x 10 screen I will end up with about 17.5 x 9.5 viewable area which I thought was Pretty close for a 16:9 aspect ratio. Am I doing something incorrectly? I agree that If I went 20' wide I will not be able to fill the entire width due to height constraint.
      Thanks

You would have an image that is roughly 16’10” x 9’6” at That resolution, not a problem by any means.

Good luck. I'm just starting my own Uneekor build and got a lot of good info searching through the forum. I just need to figure out a projector to go along with the Optix camera that doesn't cost a fortune.

Steve, you are going to need "light" for the cams. I have a 5000 lumen projector and the "light" still washes out the screen. It's a give and take for play and practice.

Yeah I'm spending way to much time trying to decide on a projector. But until I figure that out I'm holding on all the other decisions.
