I am building a 20 X 30 structure which will house a simulator, among other things. I have a spousal request to build in a small bathroom. I sketched up the attached and was wondering if the 5X8 room should be in front or behind the hitting area. I am also going to use as an alternate home office so there will be a desk along one of windows, again I can put it behind or in front of the hitting area. The attached shows the bathroom behind the hitting area. I will still have 15 feet width to accommodate left or right players. Any input would be appreciated.

I would suggest a few things:
1. A 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio is definitely preferable to 4:3. So I would make my screen 14'4" x 9' (16:10) or 16'x9' (16:9) wide to fill your wall. Not only is the wider aspect ratio more immersive, but it will also be much less prone to balls missing the screen.
2. I would have the middle of your mat more like 9-10 feet away. Especially with a 9' tall screen. If you are 12', you will be hitting the ceiling on anything over Gap wedge.

My screen is 15x9'4" for reference. My mat starts at 8.5' away from the screen and is 4' deep. I typically hit from 9.5' away and have never hit the ceiling or side walls. (2 Handicap but I've definitely hit some stone cold shanks in the sim)

your layout is almost perfect
you can do a 12 x 9 screen which would give you a perfect 4:3 ratio. If you went longer like 14 ft, it might interfer with desk but is doable. Looks like you have it layed out for a flightscope or mevo plus?. How deep did you want the enclosure? You can do a 60" deep then add some side curtains if you have beginners playing. let me know and I can get you some enclosure options
