Hi everyone,
Firstly, thanks for all of the previous contributors for helping me get to where I am. The information on here has been amazingly helpful. Now it comes time for my specific questions, which I think are more verification..
Building a new home with a dedicated space to place a new simulator. Refer attachment
Ceilings are 3m (9'11"), and the room is 7m (23') x 4.5m (14'9")
The simulator will be against the wall highlighted in Yellow, and I am planning to have the hitting zone 10 feet back from the impact screen, with a putting green in front of it to practice real putts etc
So far the the build is:
Sim : Uneekor EyeXO
Impact Screen - size to be determined, see questions
Projector : Benq TK700Sti
Hitting surface : Soft strike hitting mat + stance mats for both sides
Computer : Custom build - AMD Ryzen5 5600x, nVidia RTX 3060Ti, 16mb DDR4, 1tb SSD
Putting surface: Fiberbuilt 10' x 10' putting green, which will fit between the screen and the hitting surface
Question:
I want the screen to go full length wall to wall. Given I will be running 16:9, I think I can go 14' x 8'... is 9" enough for framing, bungees etc...can someone confirm that? If so, looking at the throw calculator on projector central, that would put the projector about 13'10" from the screen... do I have my calculations correct so far?
Is it worth getting a custom built screen... I think I would have to go a 16:10 projector to get any more height out of it right?
Have I missed anything else so far with the build out plan?
Thanks in advance
Jamie
