Enough width for a curved screen?

My wife is in love with the idea of a curved screen (woo hoo!!), my space is 18'2in wide cement to cement (I'll need to finish the walls, so probably 17-16' once finished), is that enough for a curved screen to work well or should I just stick to a flat screen? My area has a natural curve at the back of it which is why I was thinking curved screen, if I go with a flat screen I'll have 4-5ft of empty space behind the screen. I've attached a blueprint for a general idea of the area I'm working with. Thoughts?

    Thanks!

You should check out this guys thread on his curved screen: https://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum...planning-phase

He has 22 ft across. Not sure how it all scales down to 18'2" but you should be able to figure out the dimensions based on his diagrams.

I would say that is enough room to do whatever you want really. I do think a curved screen would look better in a space that wide as well. Just make sure the projector has enough adjustability to make it look right. Would love to see some photos when it is done!
