    A few screen size questions

    1) 9’ 6” ceilings. What is the maximum screen height you would consider?

    2) What are the pros/cons of 4 x 3 vs 16 x 9?
    a) does one ratio tend to have more expensive projectors or screens?
    b) Aesthetically all other things equal what are preferences?

All projectors now usually can display both aspect ratios.
what you need to consider is what is the screen projecting from. If it’s a laptop it might only project 16 : 9 . Check this out first then you know what screen is best. Screens come in all sizes in Europe so I guess your closest height is 9 ft. If you want to really fill the space

you want the largest screen size you can fit in the space regardless of aspect ratio. Most screens have a max hieght of 108 inches due to the width of the screen material

if you can go 144 long then you could do a perfect 4:3 ratio 144 x 108.

      120 x 108 would be a 120 x 90 image

      are you building an enclosure?

      thx

Based on building your own enclosure, if I make the enclosure itself 9 feet tall how tall will the projectable area of the screen be?

that depends on how you plan on building the enclosure. Typically the screen is 6-12" smaller than the frame in order to have room to pull the screen tight. We have a 14" deep screen frame that the screen area is same size as frame. The highest we can go is 105". so the image would be 120 x 105. We can do 144 x 105 as well. I will send you link to that frame
