Connecting PC to Monitor, projector and TV

Hi All,

Hope you don’t mind me asking what may be a simple question to many.

My sim room is ready to connect up.

I’ve now got everything for my sim.

Touch screen monitor
HD Screen
55” Tv

What is the best way to connect the Monitor, the projector and the Tv? I’m guessing using all HDMI’s but is it from pc to tv and pc to monitor and pc to projector? Or do I link them in some way ie from PC to monitor then put monitor to tv/projector?
So sorry for the questions.

All the displays connect back your PC. If your PC doesn't have 3 display outputs, then you'll need something between your PC and displays to get it.

If you can give info on your PC and attach a picture of all the connections on your PC, that would be very helpful.

It has an RTX 3080 graphics card that had a 2.1 HDMI port and 3 display ports. So all 3 displays to the card?
there’s an additional display port but that’s not to the card.

Ok so 4 video outputs. Yep all connect to that card. You'll probably need 2 Display Port to HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 adapters since the projector and TV won't have those. Not sure about your touchscreen monitor.

I'm sorry for the dumb question, but I also want a touch screen monitor. Can I just buy any one and pair it with any computer? Maybe I'm just having trouble wrapping my head around a monitor being both a display device and input device, but curious what you discovered. Also, do you have a wireless keyboard and mouse also connected?

Does your touchscreen fully replace a keyboard and mouse or are touch functions limited? How does it work with windows?

Yes, the touchscreen can replace both keyboard and mouse. Personally, I have no problems with it on Windows.

I test ran a google chrome cast from my phone (soon to be pc) out to my monitor and projector. Just used an HDMI splitter 1 in 2 out. Plugged the chrome cast into the splitter and ran two HDMI from that.

they make ones for 4 and more. Might be what you are looking for. Unless displaying different things such as cable tv.

Quick point of clarification and feedback. We are building a new sim with a similar set up. We wanted to utilize a touchscreen 27 inch (Acer 1080P) with the BenQ 4K projector. I was told I could not use a touchscreen unless it was 4K, in mirror mode the display will default to the lower resolution. Would love some feedback if this is correct and if anyone knows of a 4K touchscreen.
