After taking about 7-8 years off from golf I got the itch again this summer and joined a nearby club. I was able to play enough to get my handicap down to an 8 but since I live in Nebraska the golf season is done or almost done. It's always been my dream to have an indoor simulator but the cost of the systems has always been a deterrent. I started researching it a few weeks ago and stumbled upon the Mevo+.......I ordered one last week and expect it soon! I'm fortunate that I have a heated 70x80 farm shop on my yard and have the space in it to build a simulator room. (I need to redo my "break room" and storage loft). As of now I'm planning on building a 14' x 30' x 11' room for the system. I'm a 105-109 driver swing speed guy and plan on having 7-8 feet Mevo to ball and 11-12 feet ball to screen. I'm a DIYer so I'll build my own screen using Gungho Golf's plans. Here are some questions I have that I've not found the answers too.
- What is the best material to use on the walls of the room?
- How does one protect the walls from ball damage?
- What aspect ratio should I use for my screen?
- Will the Mevo+ be affected by the ceiling joists if I don't finish the ceiling?
- Should I put two lighting circuits in so I can keep the screen end of the room dark? Dimmable LEDs?
- What are the "rules" for stuff in the room with the Mevo+?
- Can I put the Mevo up against a cabinet
- What is the beam width of the Mevo radar
- can golf bags be kept against the wall in front of the Mevo
- What is the beam width of the Mevo radar
- Can I put the Mevo up against a cabinet
- I plan on using turf for the floor. How do I keep the turf and my hitting mat level
