I'm considering building a 16x9 screen and have all the materials on hand or on order. I'm also wondering if its too big. I'll be using a Mevo+ and my simulator room/office will allow me to be 10-12 feet from the screen and also have the Mevo+ 8 feet behind the ball. Ceiling will be 10-11 ft tall.....haven't totally decided as it depends on some structural questions.

Can a screen be too big?

Thanks! The plan is to add a "lean to" onto my shop. I'd like a new office space, additional two car garage, and a place to store my combine so it doesn't take up space in the heated shop. So I'm designing an 86x26 addition to the side of my current shop to accommodate that......and a golf simulator. My office will most likely be 24x26x10.

Oh awesome! If you're doing an add-on to your shop, I would plan to go bigger than what you think you need for the golf sim space. A lot of people wish they could have a bigger space. The incremental cost of building a bit bigger is so small compared to the total cost, and last thing you want when investing in a build, is wishing it was better. Just my opinion.
If I was doing an add-on like this, I would want the space to be at least 18ft wide, 20ft deep, and 10ft high. If I want room for seating and/or entertaining, the I would make it even bigger than that.

You should also check with your screen company. Some screens can only be so tall before they require a seam. For example, I believe Par2pro Max height is 9'6" tall. My ceilings are 10'6" tall and the 9'6" screen was perfect for me after the felt surrounds we're added
