  • New Build looking for some advice

Hello new to the forums and have been doing a lot of reading on here for my first sim build.

Couple questions about the enclosure size and tee to screen. My garage has a depth of 26 feet and the ceilings are just over 12 feet tall that said I have been looking at building a 13 foot wide by 10 foot high enclosure but am trying to figure out the depth. I was originally going to do 5 feet but thinking about maybe extending it to 7 or 8 feet instead of installing some nets for shank protection.

Also I plan on hitting from 13 or 14 feet to the screen though I have some hesitations because of finding a projector to use without breaking the bank and bringing more ball flight into the equation resulting in higher shots in the enclosure.

I will be using the Mevo plus for my launch monitor.

If anyone has any recommendations I am all ears. Thanks.

Search Eki 308u, I thought someone was trying to sell an almost new one here not too long ago. It’s a great 16:10 projector that may fit what you are looking for.

the farther back you set your hitting area the larger the depth you will need to protect. Usually around 4-5' in front of you is safe after that you will get shots that start hitting the ceiling or walls.

I went with 20" from wall to back of screen, 12' from screen to tee. Benq TK700Sti 14' from screen. My screen is 15' wide with a 16:9 format. I would go with 16:10 since you have the height. I have another 3' behind my hitting mat before I change the floor just to signal guests to keep a safe distance behind.
