  • Projector Question

A couple years ago i pieced together a garage simulator and looking to upgrade my projector this year.
I currently have a Yaber rated at 6500Lumens that I paid 230 on amazon for, but it gets washed out with light coming in during the day, happy with the picture and resolution when its dark out but doesn't seem that bright.
I did a search, and a Panasonic came up in the top 5, with a 5000Lumen range or 1400.
so question is even though its a lower lumens range, will i get a brighter picture for the money.
i currently have the Carls economy screen but need a new one, and may go to their mid range, would that make a difference..

    tks

Make sure you are doing an apples to apples comparison. Not knowing much about a Yaber projector I did a quick search and see that most I saw are rated in LUX not Lumens and not ANSI Lumens (proper specification for a projector). Lumens is a measure of how bright the source is, LUX measures how bright the light is on a specific surface given a whole host of conditions. I am not sure how to do the math conversion but I suspect that your 6000LUX projector - if rated in ANSI Lumens - would be rated much (much) lower.

    Just a thought.
