Sounds like you may be wanting to build something like my old setup before I changed to a Sportscreen.
I then changed it out to this, and couldn’t be happier!
If I’ve learned anything from building 3 golf sims, it’s pay the price at the start. It’ll be cheaper in the long run than upgrading bits! If I’d done V3 in the first place, I would have saved myself a fortune!!Comment

I agree with you. I am in the process of building a sim in my two car garage. I wanted to dedicate my third car bay for this but due to having numerous tool boxes, overhead storage already built and lack of swing radius, I opted for the two car bay. I just started the process this past Sunday by having a Genie Side mount garage door opener and high lift track system installed. I could have gotten away with the just the side mount but I want to be able to use the sim during the summer as well with the garage door up. I have already received my Mevo+, BenQ TH671ST projector, and I am awaiting my Metech motorized roller and 10x10 impact screen. Since this is going into my two car bay, and my wife insist on still being able to park in the garage, I felt that this was my best option. For side protection I ordered 9'x13' photography back drop shades that will attach to flexible overhead curtain tracks that can be tied back when not in use. Hitting mat is a cheap 4x5 amazon special with a 1x3 CCE hitting strip cut into it. I plan on ordering some turf to lay down between the hitting mat and screen to reduce ball bounce. For putting I have a BirdieBall 3'x14' putting strip that I will put down next to the hitting mat. Buy once, cry once, I always say.

Yes, something that can hinge up to the ceiling when not in use. I've already made some changes to my plans, and I expect they'll change again. I'm removing the overhead garage door opener and installing a jackshaft opener instead. This allows me to hit towards the garage door and provides a wider screen option. After seeing all of the retractable setups, I really need to take a pause and evaluate what that would cost in the long run.Comment
