Screen Aspect Ratio Poll

Working on the screen size for my garage build. I have 14 ft in width. I have plenty of height. Will run a OPT GT1090HDR, 4K simulator software, and a GTX 1080 graphics card. So here is the poll question - would you do a screen size of 14 x 8 (16x9 aspect ratio) or 14 x 8.75 (16x10 aspect ratio)? And why?

While I really like our 16:10 setup and do feel the extra height works well in our situation - in your example I would stay with the Native 16:9 resolution. I think keeping the projector on it’s native resolution allows for the best picture possible. My two cents.

That’s what I’m debating - is it advantageous to keep it at the native aspect ratio or take the extra screen size. I’m thinking I will run the software at 4K and let the projector scale it down.

As a rule of thumb max out the image as much as possible. 16:10 is more image than 16:9 so do that.
