I am in the process of building a golf simulator enclosure in my garage. The space is currently my exercise space and I want to continue to have the space double as both exercise and golf space. To that end, I have installed manual roll down screens and I am happy with how things are going. My plan was to wait until the Garmin R10 was available again, but as you can see from the pictures, my treadmill will remain where it is. I'm right handed and there is plenty of room. I actually would like to hit, then "walk to my ball" on the treadmill after each shot. The screen is 13 x 10 and the side screen is 10 x 10 (Both The Sportscreen manual crank rollers with an impact screen from The Indoor Golf Shop).
So my question is, will the presence of the metal treadmill about 3 feet to the right of the impact area have any effect on radar based systems set up from behind? Should I reconsider and go photometric. I have many reasons why I prefer the Garmin.
