Hey Everybody,
Im new to this forum and to golf so excuse my ignorance. I picked up golf last year and put together this setup. I currently use an iPad, sky trak, and view it on a TV cart with wheels. I chose this location because the other areas seemed to have the garage door rails and lifter in the way. I had converted my garage to hang out space prior to getting into golf. My wife is currently pregnant which means as she gets further along, the hours on the course seem to be getting shaved down. I figure now may be the best time to update this little rig. Im hoping to get suggestions on how to fix up the space, what will fit, will the specs be good enough. I originally planned on just getting a gaming laptop to run tgc 2019 and order a curtain , mounting it with a rod to protect from the old shanksville. Now I’m toying with the idea of getting a Carls Place Enclosure or just a screen against the wall and put up some curtains. Can anyone tell me if that low hanging beam ( 8ft) will allow me to project an image. If I go infront of it, it will be less than 4 ft, If I go below it, I may hit it and if I set it behind it will the image cast on to the beam? Like I said, I suck so It doesn’t have to be high end but I just want it to be functional. When the Websites say are you a 5k budget guy or a 25k budget guy, I definitely am on the 5k side. Like I said the wife is pregnant and id like to still be alive after this purchase.
Luckily I have a mat and the skytrak already. I put a dent in my wall the other day so I definitely want some side protection thats not just those little triangle shank nets.
Suggestions I found online:
