I am going to be building out a sim in the basement with either a Uneekor or GC Hawk Ceiling mount. I want to make the entire room (11' x 16') a practice putting green with 4-5 holes but have the putting surface be solid enough to also hit off. Has anyone come across a setup like that? Shop indoor golf has the one attached but that hitting strip is pretty small and wont work as I will have to be slightly off center with an 11' wide room. Has anyone either purchased or built something like this?
Best Surface for Putting and Hitting

Having a hitting strip is a good idea because that will wear out much faster than the rest of the turf plus a putting turf isn't the best to take full strikes on. A dedicated hitting strip is designed to be hit from and various hitting strips have different feels relative to real grass and some are better or worse to prevent injury. So I would cover the area with the putting turf you want and then cut out a rectangle section for a hitting strip. A lot of good turf options and hitting strip options out there.
