  • 2 camera angles in FSX 2020

Hoping to get a little bit of advice or clarification if anybody is able to assist. Basically I have set up a sim and am using two Kayeton cameras (recommended directly from foresight support team) but in FSX software it only lets me see the image from one at a time. If go into the swing camera settings and choose either camera (DTL or FO) for camera 1, it works. But if select one then go into camera 2 and select the other one, it will not show that image. Vice versa, I can use either camera but only one at a time.

Running off a HP Omen 16gb ram and 3060 graphics card so I assume my PC is powerful enough to run 2 cameras?

Anybody have this issue or want to share their set up for having 2 camera angles in FSX without using a separate program like Swing Cat?

It is a limitation of FSX unfortunately. I believe you can set up FSX where the cameras show up (instead of map/overview) before you swing, but you then you have the same issue upon playback (one camera only). I found that FSX was not sufficient for true swing capture and analysis, but it does work decent for no additional cost. Swing Catalyst is fantastic but monthly fee. Search Kinovea on the forum - people love that software and believe it is free too. Hope this helps!

Your PC is fine for FSX2020 with two cameras. What you cannot do is adjust the cameras while in FSX2020. I suspect your resolutions are too high for the program. I am not sure if there is proprietary software to adjust the cameras avail from Kayeton, but you need to use a 3rd party software to set up the cameras, then they should both show up in FSX.

I have had both running without issue and even though they are different cameras, that should not matter.

Thanks for that. So just to clarify, you have two different cameras models and both pull up simultaneously in FSX? I will look into seeing if there is a way to adjust the kayeton cameras.

Cameras are different from yours, but they are two of the same model just to be clear.
