I am looking for some advice and recommendations on what would likely be the best option within a reasonable budget for a new sim that I plan to put in the front room of my house. The room is about 14ft x 14ft with 8ft ceiling heights at the edges of the room but with a vaulted ceiling its 11 feet in the center. I would love to have a full wall screen including the trapezoid at the top, but it would involve cutting up a screen and attempted to resew the boards back on. My budget is around 5-8k including everything that I'll need.
I have included a few pictures as well as some extra 3D room layouts for the options but I am open to ideas. The golfer will be about 7-8 feet away from the screen, which I understand is a little close but it should still work since using Skytrak.
I would greatly appreciate any advice on the equipment options below and ideas for what's probably the best option for the screen/enclosure.
Launch Monitor: Skytrak
Projector: Thinking BenQ TK700STI (due to room size depth limit of 14ft) - I am hoping I can put it off to the top right corner of the screen in the back of the room and keystone it to fit as much as possible. Otherwise it will just go above and behind the golfer with some body shadow on screen
Turf: Highschool football field astroturf that's about 7.5'x11' (free, minus the 2 hours it took to remove the 1,000 lbs of rubber pellets). Swing and impact feels good on it as a friend is using the same turf in his. May turn it sideways and cut it down slightly in the future and buy a real hitting mat. Will be putting foam padding under everything.
Software: Start with WGT from Skytrak to make sure I like the monitor and then eventually will need to get an upgraded computer.
Screen/Enclosure option 1: Carl's Place 7.7'x10' screen/enclosure kit with a 2' depth option (Since its not insanely more expensive, I was thinking the Premium screen but is it worth it?) About $1,450 with the foam insert option since the height of the enclosure is on the smaller end and I don't want a ricochet to the face.
Screen/Enclosure option 2: Carl's Place 10x13' screen cut to my wall dimensions but with a wood built frame to support the screen. Screen maybe $750 for the screen, personal time to remove the stitching near the top corners and then resew the boarders in a trapezoid shape, as well as wood and bungie costs. I have only seen one or two people build screens like this and I am guessing the amount of work involved for it to look like a high quality product m ight may not even be possible (especially if the loop fasteners are punched through the screen and not just the boarder). If there is a commercially available option out there (minus the frame which I know I'll need to build) that will make a custom size screen please share who I could reach out to and if you have any experience with their screens.

but I do mention some pieces as I go through... it's been a costly and very long build, but I had a lot more work ahead of me than you, you already have finished walls, electrical, insulation, flooring, etc.
