Artificial turf uneven and moving

I am trying to lay down some artificial turf on top of 1” puzzle mats. The area is 12’ wide 16’ long. I don’t want to glue the turf down because I’m sure it will need to be replaced eventually and would ruin the mat when replacing. Any ideas what to use to not only keep it in place but enable me to smooth it out and keep it smooth and even?

I laid turf over the same size puzzle mats. It is not glued down and doesn’t budge. It’s too heavy. No need to glue.

I’m guessing your carpet is much heavier than what I got. What carpet did you use?

You can try double sided carpet tape around the edges or can even crown staple the turf to the foam mats around the edges.

My bad. I read it more as a question than a statement. I need to pay more attention. I have money putt turf. Yes, very heavy. I like the other idea of using double-sided carpet tape. Maybe just around the edges.

Try Gorilla Grip Rug Pads, they work well. A little futzy to get everything situated, but holds everything in place, easy to rollup and remove the turf without damaging it if needed:

I have used double sided carpet tape. I also have a heavy piece of Grasstek Club Champion (10'x16'). It weighs over 200lbs, so is very heavy, but I was just cutting in some sensors today and it always curls. I will either use the double sided carpet tape that I have used around the edges (stuck down onto puzzle piece 1/2" gym mats), or I will try Velcro tape, or something like those Gorilla Grip Rug Pads. Either way, it's a bear when that stuff curls up everywhere you cut it.

Grizzly from Menards. It’s not very heavy but did work well with my Opti-Shot platforms I made a couple of years ago.
