  • Let's talk lighting

    Hello,

I started out with a 150W LED adjustable light in the center of the room, which seemed fine at the time when I was just hitting balls into a net. It is in fact, now not fine that I'm into this build more than I anticipated and it just keeps getting better! I pretty much am upgrading everything and now I'm to the point where I need to decide on lighting.

    My room is 14' wide x 9.5' height x 24' long.

I was thinking maybe a 4" LED can above the hitting mat, one above the whiskey bar, and a couple above the couch/table at the back of the room.

Not sure if the single 4" LED will be enough above the golfer...730 lumens @ 10'.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks and hit em' hard!

I went with track lighting on either side of the hitting mat with 3 light fixtures per side containing 35 degree LED bulbs. Unfortunately I had to add flags (like the "barndoors" on stage lights) to the fixtures in order to keep the light from spilling onto the impact screen and washing out the picture. I might try to find some spotlight LED bulbs with a narrower beam pattern. Same ceiling height as you.

Can you link us to those little 'barndoors', I cannot picture them?
Working...
