I recently got a heck of a deal on a Uneekor Eye. Talked my buddy into buying my current set up (gc2 w 8x8 enclosure). I ordered a 9x10 screen and planning to wrap foam panels for the sides and ceiling. Couple questions:

1. Has anyone used 2 inch foam and wrap it in vinyl for a custom look?

2. What’s the best turf for stance and putting? I’d like to cut out a hitting strip 12x18ish. Trying to stay away from a hitting mat for a cleaner look.

I made panels out of foam glued to plywood, wrapped in batting, then black fabric and it worked OK. In retrospect, I think a more modern look that would have been more aligned with my tastes could have been achieved by not using the batting, cutting the foam edges at 45 degrees and wrapping it tightly.

For side panels I purchased 1.5" gym mats and put grommets in the top and hung them from the wall. They serve 2 purposes, 1.) great left side wall protection, 2.) seating for floor on movie nights in the Sim

For mats you need different turf usually for stance and hitting... Stance is focused on durability, Hitting is focused on protecting your wrists from 1,000s of hits... Here's a good Stance mat
