  • Flooring? Sig Pro?

I was in the market for a hitting mat. After a bunch of research I decided I really liked the Sig Pro softy hitting mat 4x7 . However, the $799 is a pretty hefty price for me. So I thought instead of having flooring between the Screen and Mat, I could just use save some money by just buying some gym mats, laying those down and adding some pitting turf over it. Once completed I could cut out a section and just buy the sig pro hitting strip only and place that in the cutout.

Anyone have a sig pro hitting strip that they just inserted into their current flooring? Any recommendations on what gym mats or turf to get? The thickness of the sig pro hitting strip if 2 3/8” so I would like to try and make it as close as possible so it all looks like once piece. Appreciate any feedback.

I put the Bullseye Hitting Strip into my putting turf on 1” EVA foam tiles.

That looks great! How thick is the Bullseye Hitting Strip? Also, what else is under the turf? If it's just turf, how thick was the turf you used? If you putt on it, does it roll pretty true? You have a link for those EVA foam tiles you used? Sorry for all the questions. LOL

1” EVA foam tiles of Amazon. Putting turf and Hitting strip of Bullseye Golf. It’s there Augusta putting turf. It has a 3mm foam backing. Yes it rolls true and there hitting strip is excellent. It’s 1 1/2” thick

I did the exact same thing as TripleBogeyPar with the 1" EVA foam tiles. Worked out perfectly. My hitting strip is YTG-3D and it's the perfect thickness to sit flush with the rest of my turf. It's not a cheap option, though. But it's the best option, IMO.
