Detached Auto Shop & Garage Build ***Ideas/Help Needed***

Long time reader which may be the reason I have some analysis paralysis lol. I need help designing my detached auto shop sim build.

Requirement: Is a 16:9 ratio - I feel like this will give me a bit of future-proofing with 4k now and moving forward.

Space: 30x30 with 10' ceilings - One wall has 12.5' to the window & the other has 14' to the window

My thoughts on the best option: I keep reading you'll never regret going too big if space allows. Well, I think mine does (lefties wouldn't be in luck due to the car lift but I don't know any lol)

• The only issue is I have one stupid window exactly at 14 feet which would take my height down a few feet to maintain the ratio which may not be ideal (I honestly don't know).
• I already have 80' of 1" EMT poles ready to be used for a permanent structure but the more I think about it I think a retractable might be the best plan since it would allow me to go wider and cover up the window.
• "IF" I go the retractable route I'd like to do it myself. Likely manual. What is the best way to do this? Is hardware available for a shed-like roller system that I could put my screen on? I've looked it's hard to find anything that doesn't include the door already or the awning for a retractable shade. I'm not mechanically minded (only computer minded) but can handle most of the work, just hard for me to create this mechanical structure in my mind. I have searched every youtube video out on retractable screens but most of them are from installers who sell them and installed them. Rather not go that route when I feel like I can do most of it myself.
• I thought about maybe a pulley system using permanent poles where the screen is taut to them but using some type of clips with rollers to pull up and down. I really don't know if there are huge disadvantages to something like this. I feel like with enough pulleys in the right places I could get the waves of the screen knocked out (maybe wishful thinking).

Maybe I'm overthinking everything and the difference between using an 8x14 screen and a 9x16 isn't noticeable at all and I should just keep it simple stupid. I'd still rather be able to keep the space behind the screen usable for storage but still allow for enough space for the impact screen. As you can tell I'm a bit of a mess and could use some expertise from people who've done something similar, have ideas, or have experience with various size setups and can speak to the advantages/disadvantages of changing the size for a permanent frame or using a retractable setup.

so you want to put the screen on the 14' wall or the 12.5 wall? if you put it on the 14' wall, you are limited on the depth since it only 14'. you would be hitting around 8' from screen. A couple of questions, are you still wanting to pull cars into the area or is this a permanent area for golf sim? did you want side/top protection? What system are you using? I feel your pain TryingGolf... or rather paralysis! ...I ended up throwing my hands up in the air and hitting the easy button with a Foresight sim-in-a-box. Got the Eagle Plus that comes with the Quad and the 9x16. 2 callouts if helpful... 1) obviously have the 9x16 here but the smaller screen works just fine in my experience, 2) don't have to look far here to see plenty of solid Foresight GC3/Quad endorsements... coming from a similar point of paralysis I haven't regretted hitting that easy button at all.
