  • New Build Question

Just recently moved into a new house and looking to build a sim for the upcoming winter. Plan on using the 3rd part of the garage but have questions about which size screen to use so there is no dead space when projecting the sim.

    Option 1:

    Width: 10.5ft
    Height: 10.5ft
    Length: 20ft

Option 2: I would not prefer this unless it's a much better option

    Width: 12ft
    Height: 10.5ft
    Length: 20ft

Anyone have screen recommendations to optimize this space I have? I am a righty and plan on buying the GC3 so want to make sure I can have the hitting area and projector centered from the screen.

The height seems pretty high, but the ratio of the 2nd option would be better for Widescreen format IMO. Cant wait to see results.

I am right-handed and set up in the right side of our garage. My enclosure is 10'0 wide x 8'6 high x 5'0 deep (Carl's Place). My garage is 12'0 high. Since I am right-handed, the bay behind me is open so I don't have any issues with swinging any club. I have plenty of room. If I could get my wife to give up her spot, I would get the widest screen I could.

As big as you can I would always say. My bay is your second option width wise and height. I have 15 feet length. I cannot centre hit with those dimensions, too narrow and needs an offset.

Lyons7 Your stall is very similar to mine. My spot is a tandem so I still have room for 3 cars. I can't swing in the center but I am ok with it as to knock out 4-5ft left to give me 14ft wide in the garage was $40k. I can live without being centered. I made the room my own and very pleased with the outcome. Lots of good ideas thru many folks here.

I am ordering the Carl’s Place DIY 12’x9’ very soon. Will need to be set up with 4:3 ratio, but I’m okay with that.
