Indoor Simulator Advice

Hi Everyone,

I just finished a space in my basement and am looking at setting up an indoor simulator. I am hoping to double the set up for a home theatre (I am aware that there is a trade off and the quality of the home theatre may not be as good, when using the space for the double set up)

My basement space measurements in inches: 106 (H), 143 (W), and 23 feet long in depth. I tested my clubs, and have no trouble swinging my driver in the space - advantages of not being tall!

I am debating between the Sky Trak vs Mevo Plus (Pro), and am wondering which would be better. I do not plan on using them outside. The flexibility of allowing for both left and right handers with the Mevo is not too important, as everyone in my home if right handed, and with my space width, I think I will have to be just off of center, so the machine would need to be adjusted for left handers.

Any specific recommendation for a projector screen for dual use?

Have people found it better/cheaper to do there own build vs buying a package like the SIG 10?

When swinging clubs, make sure you take into account mat height.

Do you have kids? Putting a Mevo behind me where kids can hit it isn’t ideal but it is a far far better unit if the space accommodates.

Good advice. I think I have about 4-6 inches clearance with my driver. Should be ok even with mat.

I do have kids. But I would be using the setup as a simulator when they are not around, and otherwise remove the Mevo so the space can still work as a theatre.

Do you have a Mevo? Any feedback?

I do not have a Mevo, but when going through the process it was a no brainer to eliminate Skytrak while Mevo had a legitimate consideration. It is more accurate and includes simulation, plus no annual fee.
