    Hey,

    First time poster here. Any feed back is appreciated. In the process of building my sim for my garage. I have all components selected/ordered and awaiting delivery except my launch monitor. MY screen is going to be 10' x 16' i was planning on having the hitting area 8'-10' away from the screen. I have the room for a mevo+ but am curious due to the garage floor not being perfectly level. I would end up having a 1 1/4" drop from where the mevo+ would sit and another 1 1/4" from the hitting mat to the screen. Will this affect my readings? Also i have metal garage cabinets down one side of the garage and overhead storage on the other not sure if this will cause interference. Again any feedback is greatly appreciated. Really like the idea of a mevo+ so i can have LH and RH golfers over and not have to adjust the launch monitor.

      YMM_Golfer - excellent! You can level your floor by building a subfloor and shimming in the low spots. Another option is to pour 'leveling compound' and let it settle to give you a completely level floor - but that takes long as it has to dry before moving ahead.

      I leveled mine and it was a good 2"-3" low at one end. I built a subfloor and then leveled it with shims, that was fun See pics of me doing this in my Build Thread at:

          Brettster thanks for the feedback. Does my floor have to be perfectly level? I currently have an epoxy floor that I would prefer not to loose.

              No, you're floor does not have to be perfectly level, if you will notice when playing, that's part of what makes golf so difficult, there are many lies that are not level. The problem though on always playing on a floor that is not level (in the same direction - such as a Sim Floor), is that you will be grooving your swing on an unlevel stance area - which could be detrimental to your swing in all kinds of ways....

              So I would do my best to get it within 1/2" or maybe even 1/4" of level so that does not happen.
