Can anyone tell me if a usb-c cable will help with lag when used to plug my skytrak into my laptop?

I have a Skytrak and will say that there is "lag" in that system by default. it is well known that the Skytrak simulator has about a 2 second lag between your shot and the display on the screen. I have mine set up now with Wifi, but I did try a direct connect in the past and the results are the same - the lag is still there. I looked at the Foresight products, which don't have lag in the display, but I could buy 4 Skytraks for the cost of one Foresight.

Brettster r, does the Garmin use Radar? I cant remember and I'm too far into a margarita to start looking at launch monitors. If so, I might not have enough ball flight space in my room. I would like to test the Garmin and now the Rapsodo too but it also uses Radar. I will say the thing that disappoints me the most about Skytrak is that doesn't really track club head speed. It is calculated from ball speed. I know ball speed is what matters in the end, but the club speeds can be all over the place when you hit a driver.

tntfox - yes, Garmin Approach R10 uses radar. I have it installed in a 16'x12' space - the actual internal space is 15'4" in length. I just completed an informal study trying to get my backspin up in this space, to enhance wedges into greens. I can get close to 10,000 measured backspin with use of the new Titleist RCT (radar ball), or by applying foil tape to balls.
I get club speed in Garmin Golf App for shots. I also get smash factor. I would think if you have smash factor you could calculate club speed pretty easily?
You can see my small space Sim Shed, and the entire build process, here:
Hi Everyone, I'm starting this post as a way to keep myself accountable. The tasks are huge, but not insurmountable as I'm having to do all my build work by myself. Contractors are either non-existent in this post-pandemic marketplace, or they have so much work they are 3 months out! I'll be posting up here as I make

Man, the room looks great! I remember our conversation started about 2 years ago. Glad you got it finished. One question I have is whether you noticed the noise level increase when you hit into the photo backdrop hanging in front of the impact screen. My impact screen has a low thud on impact, but with the photo backdrop up, it was a CRACK! Interested if you notice that in your setup.
Also, I have a premium screen from Carls and it is wearing pretty significantly. I think my next change will be to go to a net behind the photo backdrop. That way, I wont have the two pieces of fabric slamming together which is what I think causes the louder impact sound.

tntfox - thank you, yes, I remember some of our conversations... from 2 years ago... Lol, there have been so many, and it's been a long process!Man, the room looks great! I remember our conversation started about 2 years ago. Glad you got it finished.
Yes, I do notice that louder sound - you're exactly right... I'm considering possibly removing the photo backdrop since my 801 Impact screen is very durable - just to see if I get any 'ball burn' hitting into it... as it would lower the noise! I should make a video where you can hear the difference... search up here in forums for the guy that started this idea of the 'Photo Backdrop' and toward the end of that post, there are others talking about a much higher end 'front covering' - which actually ends up being about $200-$300 (I think) and might be quieter? One question I have is whether you noticed the noise level increase when you hit into the photo backdrop hanging in front of the impact screen. I also use 'Earplugs often' - especially when hitting drivers.
I'm really interested in how that turns out for you - with the net behind... I also have a 'memory foam mattress' and 'heavy duty moving blanket', with a duvet cover I'm considering dropping behind the screen - just to see... maybe that will deaden the sound in the whole room - worth a try...Also, I have a premium screen from Carls and it is wearing pretty significantly. Here's what I have:

Heavy Duty Blanket: https://tinyurl.com/USCargo-LargeSoundBlanket
Duvet Cover (white with snaps): https://tinyurl.com/DuvetCoverWhitewithSnaps
Memory Foam Mattress Topper: https://tinyurl.com/MemoryFoamTopper-3inch
That's all I can think of... keep me posted, and watch my thread as I'm going to post my results tonight of trying to get 10,000 backspin with my 60 degree Titleist Vokey lob wedge..
