  • Floor mount or removable ceiling mount projector

I’m moving on to the projector portion of my build (thank you all for the help this far!). My wife would like me to remove the projector and put it away one occasion when we use the room for non-golf activities.

my thought is that I get a floor enclosure and can easily move the projector or put it away. But am I sacrificing anything? I have enough ceiling height for a ceiling mount, but not sure how to install so I could essentially release the unit and the down pole and put them away (leaving the plate only perhaps).

anyone using a floor projector? I’m thinking benq 617st as it has horizontal and vertical correction. I could put the unit slightly off center and in front of me.

I had this same dilema during my build. Wanted ceiling mount but was afraid to leave in garage in cold winters. Someone suggested the Chief RSMA Mini Elite mounting system. It has a quick release so I can remove the projector. It was a little pricey compaied to other projector mounts but has worked great.

Great - gonna check it out. Thank you for the response!

Could you send a photo if you get a moment of the setup when the projector is removed? Curious.

The first pic shows the mount on top of the projector. The second pic is the ceiling tube mount with adaptor attachment. The projector sets in the tube adapter and then locks with the quick connect lever. Hope this helps.
