  • PC or Laptop

I was hoping to reuse my old gaming PC but needs a new graphics card, power supply and looks like a CPU upgrade so basically a complete new build. Trying to decide whether the build a PC or buy a laptop. Both options will end up costing around $900 because I already have some parts I can reuse in a PC build and laptops look cheaper in general.

any recommendations on which would be best suited to running Mevo+, TGC2019with Benq TK700STi with 4K?

A desktop is much better than a laptop for running these gpu intensive golf sim games. Laptops will heat up and throttle back performance. If running a 4k projector, definitely needs a more powerful gpu so desktop is the way to go.

I agree with COgolfengineer, if you are wanting to throw a 4K image, you'd be working the heck out of a laptop GPU, no way it would keep up. A desktop with plenty of ventilation and as much GPU as you can afford is the best way to futureproof yourself as much as you can.
