I started in June 22 and finally consider it finished...always a work in progress!
Many mistakes along the way (and a few in the design and build), but it has all been worth it. I have been golfing in it since November but that's been a distaction from finishing the damned thing!
So here it is...my backyard sim.
14x24 gambrel roof shed. It was built for a specific spot in the backyard...I was evicted from my garage by the wife, so this is my second sim, really.
Bushnell Launch Pro
The Software With The Canyon Driving Range
Carl's Enclosure (12x9)
CC Elite hitting matt (5x5)
BirdieBall Putting Matts
Lenovo "Legion" gaming laptop (from Costco)
BenQ TK700sti projector overhead
Dolby Atmos 7.1 because I overdid the closed cell foam insulation...acoustics can't go to waste!
The biggest hit so far might just be the "Leaderboard." A dry erase board that get's updates whenever records are set for ball speed, driving distance, and house scoring records, who knew it could be so important!
I am loving it. It's definitely helped my golf game. But it's also had the unintended benefit of stoking some creative fire that wasn't ever used in the course of my career.
If you're on the fence, jump in and do it. The short game improvement alone is well worth it...even putting! But the oasis/mancave/studio aspect can't be overstated.
Okay, out to the backyard to golf for a bit!
Let's see some!
