Flushed the hitting surface with the surrounding deck boards and carpeted directly over the rest. Archery back net is 10'h x 14' wide. Surrounding cage netting is there to stop stray balls from my kids when they join me. Good times!

Here's my take on an outdoor sim

Anyone have experience with outdoor projection success? I know I'll be limited to non-daylight hours due to ambient light. A big concern is how well does a quality screen material hold up outdoors? I don't need the screen to be as big as the 10 x 14 net behind it, but what size is optimal for best experience? It's 12' from the front of the hitting surface to the net.

Nice setup. I also have my sim set up on my rooftop balcony and have it similar to yours with the laptop and monitor to the side. I have the Net Returns net so just put it up and take it down when not in use. Have thought about some kind of projector and screen setup but don't think it would really be worth it considering the hassle of putting it up each time. Also, I would be worried about the noise for the neighbors if I were hitting into an impact screen.

My neighbors are quite used to the crack of the driver so I'm less concerned with that. I would hope to just leave the screen in place 90% of the time with the exception of really windy days. I leave the TV up all the time with just a simple cover from Amazon and am constantly surprised how well it has done. Hoping to duplicate that luck with a screen and projector (i'll be buying the extended warranty for sure).

Haha, nice. I live in Japan so the humidity alone would preclude me from leaving any kind of equipment outside. Also, my setup is on my 3rd-floor rooftop balcony and the frequent typhoons (we don't give them names here but numbers because there are so many of them every year) also prevent me from putting any kind of permanent structure or covering even for the net.Originally posted by SKS1977 View PostMy neighbors are quite used to the crack of the driver so I'm less concerned with that.
