Hi everyone - I'm thinking about building the frame for the impact screen using metal strut. I've seen some posts/videos on it and I think it'll work well for my space with the tray ceiling. I would be making a rectangle using brackets, but still concerned if I can drill screws into the tray ceiling there (picture attached). I'm not an expert, but I think similar to studs on the walls, ceilings have joists? Using the stud finder, the entire corner is catching which makes me think there's some sort of metal corner piece that's wrapped around something (possibly joist?), but the concern is that I'm not sure if the ceiling will be strong enough to hold the weight of the strut and impact screen. Also, the studs don't align on the side walls and was going to use those wall anchors for the side struts. If anyone has any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
