  • What to do with my old enclosure and screen as I upgrade my setup?

I’ve got a custom Carl’s enclosure that is 8x8x5. I’m moving to a larger space and want to take advantage and get a much larger enclosure as my ceilings won’t be a problem and I should have plenty of space.

I can only think that the corner joints would be useful to me, but I think I still would need new baffling and a new screen. Is the baffling something I can replace on my own? I have the premium screen and would like same quality.

so, what to do with the old?

    thanks

Buy some couplings and more Emt and just extend the frame as needed.

What if you kept the old screen and centered it behind the new? Would this help with bounce back? Or wear on the new one?

I have sound dampening foam panels behind my current screen and the screen is at half tension. Not much bounceback.

what is EMT? The fabric enclosure? What about new screen?

Is 1/2 inch emt strong enough? I see 1 inch used often. I was thinking 3/4 inch

Oh, yes. I’m unconcerned with physically extending the frame. Home Depot no problem.

The big question is the enclosure material and screen.

Best off just selling and rebuying?
