  • Is there a "Standard" size for hitting strips?

I have decided on a used Skytrak and am going to try it with a hitting strip since you are basically hitting from the same spot each time. I figure it's going to need to be replaced regularly, and I don't want to replace the whole mat. Just wondering if there is a standard size for a hitting strip? I don't know if I am going to buy a mat and cut a spot for the hitting strip or purchase one like Carl's that already has a spot for it. If I cut a hole, I want it to be something that I can use again, and not be the wrong size hole. I may want to try a different hitting strip or make one even. Thanks if advance for responses. Just trying to save myself some headaches later.

Standard Size is 12”x24”x 1.5” thick. Check out Bullseye Golf Sims they have a lot of different sizes. I have an 18”x35” from them.

No standard size for sure but 12 X 24 and 1 inch or so is very common. That’s what I have. It’s a good idea to cut something out as it will eventually wear out and it’s cheaper to just change the strip. Plus you can try different inserts. Bullseye strips are awesome.
