What's up everyone. Im currently finishing my basement and my wife asked if I was interested in a golf simulator. Obviously the answer was yes, however, my ceilings are a little low. I've seen some pre fabricated simulators advising of a height of 8'5'' and MY ceiling height is 8'9'' with no flooring. Do y'all think this height is doable? The depth and width will be no problem. My wife was looking at the Skytrak which appears to be decent.

My ceiling is 8' 7.5" from the top of my hitting mat and I do not have any issues with hitting it with my swing, including with my driver. I am 5'9" tall. Like COgolfengineer said, swing a club in the room and test it out. Have someone view how close you come. I have been playing golf in my basement for 4 years with zero ceiling hits with a club. A word of advice, if your ceiling is not drywalled already insulate between your floor joists for sound.
