  • Launch monitor for 14’ sim with easy lefty/righty switch

I am building a new house with a golf simulator. Unfortunately, the size of the room is already determined as 22’ x14’ with a 11.5’ ceiling.

I am left handed so easy switching is a priority.

My understanding is 14’ width might be too tight for centerline hitting. Therefore. We’ll likely have to offset.

Total budget is about $50k, but there can be some room if needed.

What launch monitor would you recommend?

Your width is close to having center hitting. I recommend at least 7.5ft from tee to the sidewall that's behind the golfer's back. An overhead unit is best for righties and lefties. Something with a decent hitting window to accomodate your space would be Eyexo2 or GCHawk.

Eyexo2 is $14k, 28" wide x 21" deep hitting area, easy swing camera integration, and impact video are great things. It integrates with pretty much all 3rd party sim software. There is a promo going on this month where you get the swing cameras and balance mat for free which is a great promo. I've had an Eyexo for a couple years and just upgraded to the Eyexo2 because i wanted the bigger hitting area. So far so good and data matches the Eyexo.

The GCHawk is over $20k and from a respected brand in Foresight. Much larger hitting area, like 52" wide. And if you want the club data, lefties and righties have to hit from 2 different areas. Foresight is starting to integrate with more 3rd party software which is great. Swing camera integration is available although not as easy as the Eyexo2. No impact video which is a bummer.

Both great options and both would fit in your space.

I am a golf sim dealer and am a Uneekor and BenQ dealer and can get screens and everything else. I've helped a lot of people with their sims, from advice to physically building them. I can save you cash on the gear. Feel free to reach out.

DBordello Uneekor and Foresight have great products, but have you considered the new ProTee VX?

What sets the ProTee VX apart is its advanced technology. You don't need any specially marked balls or club stickers due to our A.I. Two high-speed cameras capture all the essential ball data points, such as speed, direction, angle, total-spin, and spin axis, as well as club data points like club data points like speed, swing-path, face angle, angle of attack. This club data is processed by artificial intelligence (A.I.), which recognises the club you're using and tracks it as if it had club stickers attached. It's also remarkably affordable at just $6500 and connects seamlessly with third-party software like TGC 2019, GSPro, Creative Golf 3D, and E6 Connect.

In terms of spacing, if you can comfortable do a full swing in your room, you can fit the VX in your simulator. If that requires offsetting, that is also possible but depends. We do offer a large play area which may allow for you to have your VX perfectly center.

If you don't have enough width to comfortably accommodate lefty and righty, please visite my facebook page for a fully automated rail system.
