  • BenQ LK936ST with Uneekor QED

    Hello all,

Starting a new construction addition sim room. Planned on below specs/equipment
    • 28' wide by 18' deep room addition with 10' ceiling
    • 12' wide by 9' tall impact screen centered in room
    • Hitting area at 10' from impact screen
      • Adjust this to closer? 9' to help with ceiling mounted equipment conflict?
    • BenQ LK 936ST projector with 4/3 ratio, mounted at 13' 6" from impact screen
    • Uneekor QED recessed into ceiling at also 13'6"??

Reviewing electrical layouts for both it appears they will both be at the 13' 6" distance on ceiling from impact screen. I will recess the QED above the ceiling line, but is this typical?
Is there a better solution here? I have attached screen shots of both specs and where I am getting these measurements.

Any advice or recommendations are both greatly appreciated. New to the space and trying to learn as much as possible. COgolfer has added great insight from the posts I have seen. Thanks

If your ceiling is 10ft, I don't think you can recess the QED into the ceiling, since the mounting plate needs to be 9-10ft from the floor. You would either have to move the hitting area more forward or further back so it doesn't conflict with the projector placement. Or if you went XO, no placement issue there.

The BenQ has horizontal lens shift, so you might be able to mount it off to the side of the QED. If you scroll down on Projector Central site that you screen shot, it will tell how far you can go left or right at your distance.
