    Carpet area

    Hi all,

Im based in the UK and am looking for some suggestions on carpet and underlay to lay around my hitting mat if anyone has any.

Area I'm looking to cover is about 5m x 4m but would be cutting out a 1.5 x 1.5m area for my hitting area.

Ideally, it would be a puttable surface but to be honest that will be budget led. If I cant get anything in my budget then I'm happy to go for something that looks nice.

Suggestions for nice underlay would be good too, something that doesnt bounce up too much after screen hit. I'm not really keen on the jigsaw type stuff but, if it comes recommended then I'll happily go with good reviews.

It'll be getting laid onto a concrete base, that I currently have a few misshapen with time rubber mats laid that will be taken up

    Any help appreciated

    Ta

I used the jigsaw mats with padded batting cage turf laid over top. Thickness was sized to match up flush with my hitting strip insert.

It putts well enough although I don't really do much putting. Less expensive than some of the fancier turfs also. I think I got a roll that fit my area for $700.

      I did about the same.
I've got 1/2" thick "puzzle" foam mats on top of concrete. On top of the foam mats is standard carpet padding. On top of the carpet padding is green outdoor turf. Works great as the balls just die when they land on it.
