  • Optoma GT2000HDR Image Issue

Hi, is it normal for the top and bottom line to curve upwards a little? I’m going nuts trying to adjust it physically to perfection. I even used a digital level to make sure the projector is perfectly leveled. The sides are parallel, but the top/bottom line is 1in higher than the corners. (The bottom middle is about 6 inches from the floor, and the corners are 5 inches). Am I doing something wrong or is it just lens distortion?

Viewable screen size is 175” wide, projector is non adjustable 0.49x short throw.

    Thanks!

Have you tried the geometric correction settings? There is normally an adjustment to move the corners around and adjust. See if you can move the corners up an inch and then adjust the entire picture down an inch. If it is like my Optoma it is called "4 corner adjustment". Dig through the remote under display and likely Geometric Correction.

Hi, I tried it last night already. When both bottom corners are moved (up), the whole bottom line would still be curved, but just in a overall higher position on the screen, thanks.

Might I ask what you have on the top supporting the top of the screen? It occurred to me that you may have some sagging in the screen distorting from a perfectly flat surface? Just a shot in the dark .....

Thanks for the comment. I think My frame is good. I’ve got two vertical supports behind the mid section. I also built my frame very precisely. My screen is Carl’s place premium screen.
