Sim Build Base

In the very early stages of designing a sim. It’s going to be a detached garage just for the sim. I’m thinking it is going to be 25 feet deep and 20 feet wide. Am wanting to have a center hitting location as a I play with both righties and lefties. It will be built on a concrete slab. Is it okay to have the mat and everything right on the concrete or is it worth building a platform to raise everything a bit, just for a little bit of give? If so is just building that platform by 2x4s enough? Thanks for all of the help!!

Depending on the base of your mat - it should be fine. A waterproof tarp or the like may bring some re-assurance as well. That said, yes a 2x4 base (often ripped down to adjust for the normal drainage in a garage) is very common and something I personally would do if possible.
