  • what color carpet between mat and screen?

I finally have found some artificial carpet that looks decent on the cheap so what would look better in my build? Black, Grey or Green to cover the area between black curtains and mats? I'll be getting a hitting strip for the middle and those mats will be turned sideways so left and right handed people can now shoot.

    Green always looks nice.

Think black looks sweet and I'll put a green putting strip up the middle

I like the black as well. Will help control light reflection perhaps as an added bonus.

I went green as well but when it comes time to replace or if we end up moving and I rebuild, I'll most likely go gray, https://camrygolf.com/

Any reason for the switch in colors?

Mainly to help create more of a "theater" atmosphere. The green is great and is an obvious choice for golf as it blends in nicely with a hitting mat but with my enclosure being black and black acoustic foam panels on the ceiling and walls, I think the gray will help darken up the room and really make the projector image pop.

I don't believe you can go wrong with any color choice but strictly from a projector standpoint, I'm leaning towards gray when it comes time to replace.

I used the green grizzly grass on the floor surrounding my stance/hitting mat. I like the green, But I think any of the colors would look good.

I wanted to use black but with a space that still has some partial garage type use it would be impossible to keep it looking clean. I went green and it’s fine.

Hmm, had not thought of that - really good point. Flip-flopping back to green for the 'move to the garage' planning - but man that black looks slick!

Bits of leaves, sawdust, dirt etc...it really shows even on the green. Black I think would drive me nuts. I had one buddy arrive with less than clean shoes. The next time he played I handed him the vacuum....he did a great job and learned his lesson.

I’m in the middle of my build. I have black gym puzzle mats around my hitting area. The tiny specs of whatever are already driving me nuts. I find myself vacuuming every other day trying to keep it looking clean.
