I'm currently outfitting a room for my golf simulator and have some questions about the flooring setup. The idea is to lay down gym mats and add a hitting mat in the center. However, the underlying tile floor is uneven, sloping about half an inch. I'm wondering if I should try to even out the slope by using mats of varying thickness or if it would be simpler to just level the BLP I have. My worry is that not addressing the slope might lead to me effectively hitting uphill, potentially skewing the feedback I get from the BLP. Additionally, I'm curious about the risk of hitting off a tile floor with a hitting mat. Given that my swing typically descends about 3 degrees toward the ball, I'm concerned about the possibility of damaging the tile beneath. Does anyone have experience with setting up a simulator over tile?
