Looking to step up the sim set up. Was looking for some sort of quick disconnect ceiling mount for a short throw projector.
Anyone tried this or something like this?

I made my own a few years ago. Took a flat metal with holes in it screwed into ceiling. Had bolts in other holes facing down with wing nuts securing. Just used the mount I had. Basically unscrew wing nuts and pull down projector and mount. Same type metal in ceiling of garage just lift projector up and put on wing nuts. -

Only did it for a year or so now everything is upstairs. Not much to break down it's just this brace screwed into ceiling with bolts coming out other side and wing nuts. Cheap and easy. There are probably easy mounts that allow you to do this with just removing a pin but you would have to purchase two mounts. Depends on how many times you will be taking it up and down for me it was only like 2-3 times per month.
