Connection help - Laptop/TV/projector/Soundbar

Hi all,

First post…. I’ve pulled the trigger on the home sim and am currently having my ceiling raised in the garage to 3.2m. I’m pretty comfortable with all aspects of my build but I’m probably 10 days away from the building work completing and setting this all up and if I need to run additional cables then now’s the time before the plasterboard goes in next week.

Some advice from you knowledgable lot would be so handy - what’s the best setup with audio? Should I go laptop HDMI > Soundbar HDMI in > Soundbar HDMI out > Projector (LH600ST) and if that is the best way how would I connect my TV as my laptop only has 1x HDMI out?

or is there a easier way?? Please help

Can't really provide advice on this as I haven't tried your setup, but what audio are you looking to send to the soundbar? Are you planning to play music while you play, or just listen to the sim sounds from your software? I don't think I've ever really thought about about this sim sounds! I mostly just have the TV on or music.

Golfbays Pro+ impact screen
MSI Cyborg 15 laptop (RTX 4060)
LH600ST projector
Standard TV (Sony but an old one I thought I could utilise)
Samsung Sound Bar

I’m looking to be able to watch sports and movies on it too so decent sound is important. I guess when on the simulator I’d like to hear the sim sounds rather than music as I can use my Alexa speaker if I wanted to listen to music too.

it’s almost time to start connecting it all together and I’m excited but apprehensive in equal measure
