  • Overhead launch monitor

I am a VERY amateur golfer who is about to embark on my golf sim Journey and am considering an overhead launch monitor. I am torn between the GC Falcon and the Trackman IO both of which I would use for practice and play. Both seem similar in spec but Trackman is swaying it at present as the software seems more polished (though I would probably go with GS pro on the Falcon). Any advice would be super helpful as this is a big investment and i want to make sure I get it right. Thanks

I was in a very similar situation when building my first simulator. I played the GC Quad for 3 years at my home club and when designing my own sim, I was also looking at the GC Quad, Trackman and the GC Falcon. I went as far as to travel around to play other sims that were using these launch monitors (I played the Trackman but have not been able to try the GC Falcon). After extensive research and testing some of the top (and most expensive) launch monitors on the market, I decided to purchase the Rapsodo MLM2Pro at around $650 USD and I couldn't be happier. Saving well over $10,000 on the launch monitor allowed me to invest more money into other aspect of the sim (top of the line hitting mat etc). From my experience, which spans approx 500 rounds on the GC Quad, 12 rounds on the Trackman, and several hundred rounds using the MLM2Pro, I don't believe that the data is any different. And if it is, it is negligible. Honestly, if I could stand on top of a mountain and scream to the world that the MLM2Pro at $650 USD is the single best deal in the simulation market I would. You can also use a developed connector to use GSPro with the MLM2Pro. Message me if you have any questions as I have been through this process and learned a lot along the way. Good Luck!

PS. Here is the link to the GS Pro connector for the MLM2Pro https://github.com/springbok/MLM2PRO...s/tag/V1.01.32

You’re looking at overhead options and not even considering a Uneekor???

The reviews I have seen are really positive on Uneekor but the software looks a little dated and the sticker thing put me off a bit

Have you considered the ProTee VX? Overhead launch monitor. Doesn't require stickers on your clubs or marked balls. Lots of data. Great price.
