Curtain Screen

I used a curtain style in one of my first setups. I had a steel cable that I slid the impact screen along and could store up against the wall when not in use. I then had a couple bungees on the sides to eliminate some of the waves in the screen. Worked well for what i needed at the time. The impact screen had grommet holes at the top and I used carabiners to attach to the steel cable.

At the time I was using PR-20 from west coast netting which is a heavy duty impact screen. great for impact, not the best for image quality. No issues with low shots if you have it secured properly on the sides.

I built one from an idea I got on this forum… I did have to improve it due to the plastic bearings being too weak but it is all documented on my YouTube videos… It’s really not hard to do it, just follow my build to get some ideas and you will do OK. I am very happy with my setup and it ha been a year, My retractable curtain is about $200 in materials (motor, bearings, tube, wood). The screen is about $650.
