  • Golf Simulator Build in my Carport - will this work?

I have a pretty massive carport and am thinking about building a simulator under it since I don't have room in my garage. Before I get too far into this, just wondering if I'm going to run into any issues being that my driveway is slightly sloped? I don't know the angle of the slope offhand but it's not very significant. It was sloped just enough to allow the rain to flow down away from the house. Am I going to encounter issues with a launch monitor based on what I'm describing? The slope isn't a factor when swinging my clubs. I already have a mat and net under my carport and they function fine.

It shouldn’t be a major issue other than growing accustomed to swinging on the slope, but how many golf shots to you hit off truly flat ground anyway.

if you dig around a little there are people on here who have adapted a stance mat to create a level hitting surface with plywood.

Garages are also slightly sloped for drainage, so I would think the guys that have to put their sims in their garage have the same issue?

Yeah, that's definitely true and was also what I was thinking. I am really thinking more from a launch monitor perspective (whether the slight slope would cause an issue with accuracy). As for hitting, it doesn't feel any different than when I'm out on the course.
