Does anyone know where Carl’s Place gets their fabric for their built in simulator room wall panels?? Or know what fabric they use? In the process of my simulator built in room and going with their wall panels but the room size was just a little off so decided to frame down a little for the screen and will have a small area about 9-10 inches that would like to cover with foam and upholster myself since they won’t make panels that small and also won’t sell me the fabric they use…

I can't say I know what exactly they use, but I have been to their showroom and have touched their actual panels. They feel a lot to me like the duck canvas I used to build my wall panels. So many people seem to use marine vinyl, which seems really dumb to me because 1) it doesn't look great and 2) it doesn't absorb sound. The fabric panels like Carls place uses are more of an acoustic treatment and helps to lessen the sound reflections in the room. I noticed a big difference before and after my wall panels were installed. Search duck canvas at Joann Fabrics.

I don't see it as "shiny" and I have acoustic panels up so there is almost zero sound when you hit on my sim.Originally posted by gobble View PostYou like the shiny? I think the fabric is nice both with absorbing sound and not reflecting projector light (or masking).
I still need to do my ceiling, but I think this looks a lot like the Carls product.

What padding did you use for your panels? Also is the below material what you used?Originally posted by gobble View PostYou like the shiny? I think the fabric is nice both with absorbing sound and not reflecting projector light (or masking).

Joanns had a couple of options.
Thanks
