Hey all. This is my second post, my first one didn’t have any responses. Not sure if I’m posting in the wrong spot, but if I am, please let me know so I can post it elsewhere.
I'm building an outdoor golf hitting area on my concrete patio. The setup will be featuring the R10, a Carls Place hitting mat, and a GoSports Elite golf net. Im installing a tv inside a TV Shield enclosure in place of a projector as well. I’ve attached a screenshot of my current plan.
I’m hoping to put turf over the whole area where I can cut holes for putting. I’ve picked out the putting turf and the fringe, but I’m trying to determine what I need to put under the turf.
I’ve ordered some foam exercise tiles, and im hoping those will work. Has anyone used foam tiles under putting turf outdoors? If so, does it work okay for drainage and everything? My area isn’t fully covered and the entire area is 10’x16’. I know they make foam underlayment specifically to be used outdoor, but I’m trying to make this as budget friendly as possible since it’s just an outdoor hitting area.
Any advice or suggestions are much appreciated!
